Yes it would absolutely depend on your current salary and where you are located. Your timeline might need to adjust but it is do-able.
Thanks for stopping by!

I did find myself wondering about how the numbers might look different today in terms of how typical early-career salaries and living expenses compare. Obviously this would depend on where you are located and what field your job was in, but interesting to consider.

Comment on When To Leave A Relationship + Tips If You Have No Money To Leave by clevergirlcgf https://www.clevergirlfinance.com/when-to-leave-a-relationship/#comment-2408 Wed, 14 Aug 2024 13:51:46 +0000 https://www.clevergirlfinance.com/?p=54682#comment-2408 In reply to Elle.

I’m so sorry to hear about everything you’re going through—it sounds incredibly overwhelming to juggle school, your husband’s health, your children’s needs, and your own well-being. Perhaps reaching out to a counselor or support group for emotional support e.g. in your community, church etc, and exploring financial options like scholarships or payment plans for school might ease your burden a little. Managing your time with tools like planners could help reduce the overwhelm, and even small moments of self-care can make a big difference. It might also be worth consulting a legal or financial advisor to explore ways to protect yourself and secure your finances. You’re doing your best in a tough situation, and your strength is evident—please remember to take care of yourself too.

I had to quit because I returned to college to be a special needs educator and will be starting pre-clinicals which means of I’m not in classes all day, I’m assigned to a school all day. It also means more rigorous homework and I already was doing homework all hours I was not in class or work. But I won’t be able to work as a classroom assistant because by the time my classes and the school is done, it so will all the schools around me. My husband is neurologically, mentally, and physically disabled. He also, information, is sensitive to all meds so he can’t really take much. But the last neurological disability diagnosis has been the worst because it includes a brain tumor which has affected his personal. He is so mean to me and our children. The oldest has already said they’re ready to move after graduation in two years and the youngest is always asking to go to my parents but tbh, it can be toxic there, too. I had money saved but he used a good chunk on medical marijuana and I’m sorry, but IDC how often he says it, but by his actions, yes, he is addicted. I have nothing in my name and nowhere to go (no way am I going to my parents). And even if I could go, the oldest is not mine biologically. He refuses to go to therapy, too, and I can no longer talk to him. I wish it were better.

It was very informative. Definitely helped me realize what I need to do. I just do not want to lose the motivation of wanting to break out and thrive in happiness with my children (4).
